The Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board unanimously approved a direct loan to ACC Manufacturing a subsidiary of One Aviation Company in the amount of $1.5 million to set up a manufacturing operation at the Grand Rapids airport.
The board also unanimously approved a loan to the Grand Rapids Economic Development Authority in the amount of $293,000 to allow the Economic Development Authority to purchase a 7,500 square-foot hangar at the airport, which it will in turn lease, to ACC Manufacturing.
The loans will allow for a composite parts project at the Grand Rapids airport before it moves into a 7,000 square-foot building which currently houses Swan Machine.
The project is expected to create 20 new full-time jobs with wages ranging between $31,000 to $100,000,
