President & CEO

Lakeland PBS seeks a skilled professional to serve as President & CEO. With studios in Bemidji and Brainerd, Lakeland PBS is a successful and respected public media licensee operating two public television stations that serve central and northern Minnesota. The CEO will be responsible for leadership of a dedicated team of professionals, working closely with a supportive board of directors.

As the only television stations in our markets, we provide critically important services, including the only local, nightly newscast for our viewers.

Lakeland PBS operates from an impressive digital facility and offers six channels of broadcast service as well as a robust digital presence.

North central Minnesota offers an extraordinary quality of life with exceptional access to outdoor activities, numerous lakes and prized cultural activities. The region’s economy is growing.

Multimedia Producer / Director

How would you like to work in an environment where you’re treated like family rather than a commodity? That’s our work environment here at Lakeland PBS. We’re looking for a full-time creative multimedia producer / director to join our production team.

Hands-on experience in both live and post production as well as shooting, editing, computer and digital production skills for broadcast, social media and web. A degree in media or related field or equivalent experience is required. Mac and PC skills along with Final Cut, Premiere and Photoshop required. Ability to walk, lift, climb, push, pull, and carry at least 40 pounds along with a valid MN driver’s license required. Excellent vision, hearing, and physical dexterity is needed for this position.

Lakeland PBS has a long history of stability with an excellent board and staff. We have no debt, a solid cash position, and the start of an endowment fund. We have a strong community presence with an emphasis on local service, including our own local nightly news, local arts, culture and public affairs programing. We’re also a multimedia technology leader and have a strong online and social media presence and are broadcasting six digital channels throughout northern and central Minnesota.

Work hours are mainly weekdays, with some evenings and weekends. Salary dependent upon qualifications. Benefits include generous PTO and paid holidays, company paid life and disability insurance and an additional 21% of salary for flex benefits including health, retirement, dependent care and flex plan options. Central MN Office Manager / Sales Associate

Lakeland PBS is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated individual with excellent people skills and organizational ability to be a part of our team based in Brainerd, MN. Responsibilities include representing Lakeland PBS to the public in central Minnesota, fund raising efforts including solicitation and management of business sponsors, and office management of our Brainerd based office / studio. Necessary skills include sales and marketing, public speaking, community knowledge and connections, and being self-motivated. A college degree or equivalent experience required. This is a FT position with excellent benefits including generous PTO and paid life and disability insurance and an employer funded flex plan that funds health insurance and retirement.
