Central MN Office Manager/Sales Associate

Lakeland PBS is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated individual with excellent people skills and organizational ability to be a part of our team based in Brainerd, MN.

Responsibilities include representing Lakeland PBS to the public in central Minnesota, fund raising efforts including solicitation and management of business sponsors, and office management of our Brainerd based office / studio.

Necessary skills include sales and marketing, public speaking, community knowledge and connections, and being self-motivated. A college degree or equivalent experience required.

This is a FT position with excellent benefits including generous PTO and paid life and disability insurance and , flex plan that funds health insurance and retirement. Salary depends on experience.

Secretary / Receptionist

Lakeland PBS seeks a motivated team player to manage phones, mailings, and general secretarial duties including copying, typing, filing, and some financial work. Knowledge of Mac computers and MS Office preferred. Prior secretarial experience or formal training required. Demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills required.

News/Sports Multimedia Journalist

KAWE/KAWB-TV is accepting tapes for an entry-level news/sports MMJ opening. This is a very challenging, and rewarding position at a station nominated for an Upper Midwest Emmy for station excellence.

You must be able to shoot, edit, and write your own stories. Hands-on internship experience is a plus. You must also know how to generate quality local stories and know how to work your beats. This reporter will cover news and sports stories, and will also shoot sports highlights for our newscast. There will be some back-up sports anchoring opportunities as well.

This is a great starter station for talented recent graduates. Many of our people have moved on to bigger markets. We are located in the vacation land of Minnesota. This position is based out of our bureau office in Brainerd, MN. One-year contract.
