Politicians Tour Brainerd Lakes Area Storm Damage
State and federal politicians gathered to tour the areas Sunday’s storm roared through curbed their political views to help get Minnesota’s vacation destination back up and running.
The governor and congressman Nolan took a helicopter to get an aerial view of the area hit the hardest, so they know the proper steps to take to generate more aid.
While it doesn’t appeal that the storm will accumulate enough public damage to qualify for a national state of emergency, Congressman Nolan estimates the public damage to be over a million dollars and private to be in the millions.
