MN DNR Posts 2023 Hunting Regulations Online for Review

Deer hunters will have more ways to hunt this fall, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

The DNR has posted the 2023 list of new hunting regulations online for review to help hunters plan for success this upcoming season. Major changes include:

  • allowing crossbows for all deer hunters with an archery license
  • requiring synthetic ground blinds on public lands to have blaze orange covering
  • requiring non-toxic ammunition for special hunts in state parks or in scientific and natural areas where hunting is allowed

Some chronic wasting disease zones have changed as well as have some harvest limits across northeast and north-central Minnesota.

Full information on this year’s hunting regulations can be found on the DNR website. Deer hunting specifics can be found here.
