Crow Wing County Highway Department Implements New Technology

Although, winter this year was milder than usual the Crow Wing County Highway Department had no problems battling the snow and ice this year thanks to their new GPS and LCD touchscreen technology called PRECISE.

Crow Wing County is one of the first counties in the state to implement this system and so far it has been a great asset to the operators.

The system is very simple to use.

The new PRECISE technology will also help reduce the cost of maintenance to tax payers.

The sensors also monitor roadway temperatures and sand usage.
