Longtime Beltrami County Attorney Timothy Faver announced today that he will be retiring at the end of this current term on January 2, 2015.

According to a press release from the Beltrami County Attorney’s Office, Faver, who has been the Beltrami County Attorney since 1989, said that it’s time for him to step down. The release also said that after being in the County Attorney’s Office for over 30 years, Faver is ready for others to have the opportunities that he has enjoyed for many years.

Faver said that he was comfortable with his decision to retire, because Chief Assistant County Attorney Annie Claesson-Huseby will be filing for election this fall as Beltrami County Attorney. Claesson-Huseby has worked in the County Attorney’s office for 10 years.
