Ron Johnson Elected President of League of Minnesota Cities
A longtime member of the Bemidji City Council has been elected as the president of the League of Minnesota Cities for 2022-23.
Ron Johnson, who has been a Bemidji City Councilmember for 20 years, was elected to the position Thursday at the league’s annual conference in Duluth. He currently serves as councilor for Ward 3 in Bemidji.
Johnson, who works at Lakeland PBS, served as the league’s first vice president last year. He is also a former president of the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities.
The League of Minnesota Cities is a membership organization dedicated to helping cities throughout Minnesota build quality communities through effective advocacy, expert analysis, trusted guidance, and collective action.
