Medical Center CEO Resigns
The CEO of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby has announced plans to resign.
In front of the hospital’s board of directors on Monday night, John Solheim made the announcement.
Solheim has served as the hospital’s CEO since the summer of 2012. His decision to step down arrived soon after the board approved plans to move Cuyuna from a public hospital to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The board approved Solheim’s decision by a 14-3 vote.
Solheim had been criticized by hospital staff in the past. According to the Brainerd Dispatch, employees accused him of bullying people on staff and complained of a hostile work setting. He also received a vote of no confidence from Cuyuna staff just 10 months ago.
He will officially step down on Oct. 14.
