Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley to Host Free Christmas Dinner

Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley is hosting a free Christmas dinner once again this year.

This is the 23rd year of the dinner. People who can’t attend can request to have a meal delivered to them.

Gladys and Albert Luecken have been running the annual dinner for the past five years. Volunteers from Faith Lutheran as well as St. Joseph’s Catholic Church help make the meal possible.

“Well, it started out that it was more for the people that were alone and had nobody else, and it has grown so that we expect the whole community to come,” said Gladys. “And the community isn’t just Bagley. Like, last year we had people from Bemidji on the east and Mahnomen on the west and all points in between. And we appreciate it when family units come and dine with us.”

The Christmas dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. If you can’t attend and would like a dinner delivered, you can call 218-694-2631.
