Northwoods Adventure: Spring Bird Hike
For many non-birders the first inkling to observing birds is listening.
For experienced birders they say many bird species are more easily identified by the ear rather than the eye.
One place to spot numerous species in the Brainerd Lakes neck of the woods is at the Northland arboretum.
The spring bird hike offers opportunities to walk along the trails and help educate residents on the bird population in the area.
And with outdoor enthusiasts like the Perry’s spring bird hikes never get old. They enjoy sharing and teaching others about the hobby they love.
