Northwoods Adventure-Kids’ Triathlon

People often perform their best while in the best of health.
The Kiwanis Kids’ Triathlon in Baxter serves mainly to encourage kids to become active.
More than 200 kids took part in Saturday’s race. The 5 through 9 year-olds competed at half the distance of the 10 through 14 year-olds.
The younger group started by swimming 25 yards.
The older group actually swam their 50 yards and quickly ran up the hill.
The younger kids biked two miles while the older kids pedaled four miles.
The 5 through 9 year-olds ran one mile and the 10 through 14 year-olds ran 2 miles.
The kids rode the emotion of their adoring fans all the way to the finish line.
