Space, the last frontier. This month it has been closer to Brainerd than normal. June at the Franklin Art Center has a gallery honoring the 50th anniversary of the first space walk.

The exhibit includes aliens, dragons, droids and other animals in a space themed fantasy that jumps off the canvas.

The gallery first opened as part of the First Fridays series which shows different themes as a fun way to engage a growing audience.

The gallery is also a way to get more local artists to take part in the Franklin Art Center and rent studios to take part in future first Fridays.
