Events for March 30, 2017
For a parent of a child with special health needs, it can be isolating. Many feel that no one else understands their struggles. But that is not the case, and Sanford Bemidji wants to bring those parents together in a support group called Parent Connection. The group meets the last Thursday of every month from 5 to 6 p.m. in the 1611 Anne St., Clinic Conference Room. Free childcare is provided. An upcoming gathering takes place March 30. “We really saw the need in our community for a group like this,” said Sanford Bemidji pediatric RN health coach, Emily Aaker. “Parents are truly the experts on their children and sometimes we as medical professionals can’t always get a full grasp on their day-to-day lives. We feel that this group will be incredibly beneficial for these parents to meet and discuss whatever is on their minds.” No registration is required.
