Lakeland Currents host Ray Gildow welcomes Dennis Mackendanze, Executive Director of the Turn in Poachers (TIP) program, and Phil Mohs, MN DNR Conservation Officer.  Turn In Poachers (TIP), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization dedicated to curbing the illegal taking of Minnesota’s wildlife and natural resources.  TIP furnishes rewards to callers, providing information about wildlife violations which lead to an arrest, and also educates the public about the effect of poaching on Minnesota’s game and fish resources through such things as the “Wall of Shame” trailers.  2016 marks the 35th anniversary of the TIP program, and we will examine all the beneficial work this organization has done to benefit our states valuable natural resources.
