Season 7, Episode 2

The Leech Lake Area Watershed Foundation has been a key regional conservation organization in the North Central Lakes region for the past 15 years. Members of their staff and Board will join Lakeland Currents host Ray Gildow in updating viewers on their current work. The organization just received a considerable grant award from the Outdoor Heritage Foundation to do protection work on strategic lakes in this region. Learn more about their focused effort to acquire conservation easements in Tullibee Refuge Lake watersheds and what it means to have your land in a conservation easement. This is an exciting opportunity to protect clean water and critical habitat on some of our deep cold water lakes. Join new Executive Director Lindsey Ketchel, LLAWF Board member Jim Miller and Conservation Director John Sumption for this informative and timely presentation.
