In Focus: Bemidji Community Theater Bringing the Magic of ‘Brigadoon’ to the Stage

The Bemidji Community Theater is bringing the magic and romance of the musical “Brigadoon” to audiences later this week.

35 cast members are joining in song and dance at the BCT’s performing arts center in downtown Bemidji to perform “Brigadoon.” The musical is about a couple of tourists in Scotland who discover an enchanted village that only appears every 100 years, along with a love that develops between one of the tourists and a member of the village.

Directed by Mary Knox-Johnson, this production has been in the works for the last five months, with hard work and dedication from coming from the cast and crew to create a wonderful setting and story to share with the community.

Showtimes will be on Nov. 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 7 p.m. and on Nov. 12 and 19 at 2 p.m., with a special morning performance on Tuesday, Nov. 14. at 9:30 a.m. More information on the show and on purchasing tickets can be found at the Bemidji Community Theater website.
