BSU’s Center for DEI Hosts Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration
Bemidji State University’s Department of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion hosted a celebration for the late civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday. Guest speaker George Paasewe, an educator, author and public speaker, gave the keynote address to honor MLK’s legacy and to discuss what code-switching, the practice of changing language to fit different situations, looks like in the people of color community.
BSU’s DEI office will be hosting an event on Feb. 15 for the President’s reception for the Black History experience.
