Bemidji City Council to Hold Special Session on Sanford Center Management

One week after voting to terminate the city’s contract with VenuWorks, the current management company for the Sanford Center, the Bemidji City Council has now decided on a special session with the public in attendance to further discuss their options.

The decision comes after the council listened to VenuWorks founder and CEO Steve Peters, and following lengthy discussion, the group chose to call the special session. Now the issue will be discussed in front of the citizens of Bemidji, with the council promising transparency.

The special session is tentatively scheduled to begin at 3 PM on Monday, Sept. 20. More information, including location, will be made available later this week.
