Yoma Myanmar Tea Co. Issues Recall

An Allston, MA company has recalled a snack, due to inadequate allergy labeling.

The Yoma Myanmar Tea Co. is voluntarily recalling the Yoma Myanmar brand, “Tea Salad Snack,” for the flavors regular and spicy, according to the FDA. The product may contain undeclared peanuts.

According to the FDA, there was a temporary breakdown in the companies production and packaging processes, which resulted in the packaging not revealing the presence of peanuts for consumers.

The snacks were distributed nationwide and come in a 7 ounce, clear plastic package with the expiration date of June 15th, 2018.
