Woman Who Died After Being Pulled From Lake Andrusia in Beltrami Co. Identified

Authorities have released the name of the woman who was pulled from the water of a Bemidji area lake and died Monday.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Danielle Rushman of Cass Lake was reportedly swimming in an area commonly used as a swimming beach on Lake Andrusia near the Mission Road Bridge. Rushman became unresponsive while swimming around 4 p.m. that day and was removed from the water by a bystander and a Leech Lake tribal officer.

Despite lifesaving efforts, Rushman died. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
