Woman Pleads Guilty For Multiple Thefts

A woman has been charged with theft after allegations she stole from several people over a three year period.

Rinda Lynn Etter, 57, of Deer River, Minnesota appeared in Itasca County District Court. Etter is charged with six felony counts and two gross misdemeanor counts of theft, according to the Office of the Itasca County Attorney.

Since Oct. 1, 2013, Etter engaged in a series of thefts from multiple people and stole more than $53,000.

At the hearing, Etter pled guilty as charged and an agreement with the prosecutor was reached. For the next ten years Etter will be on supervised probation and will have to pay back more than $53,000 in restitution. This agreement must be approved by the court.

Etter’s next day in court is on Mar. 6, 2017, where she will be sentenced.
