Winter Wonderland Lights Opening

It began to look like Christmas at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd this weekend. The lights were strung and light to resemble a winter wonderland.
Even without snow on the ground, the city of Brainerd was illuminated to look like a winter wonderland. For nine years now, The Brainerd Area Sertoma Club has partnered with numerous local businesses to host their Winter Wonderland holiday lights display.

Families could stay warm while viewing the mile long display of about 80 colorfully lit animations from their vehicle, and listening to some classic tunes to put them in the Christmas spirit.

Some local Brainerd high schoolers were out and about bearing the cold to help upkeep the winter display.

But the cold dind’t stop them from receiving the warm feelings inside, the feeling of giving back.

And it’s all in light, to put the community in the Christmas spirit.
