Water Hazard: Boaters Nearly Hit Large Log On Lake Bemidji

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office was advised of an object sticking up in Lake Bemidji that was nearly hit by a passing boat on Labor Day Weekend.

Authorities found a large chunk of wood surfaced and had to be drug to shore. The water logged piece of wood weighed an incredible amount and took several deputies to pull it out of the water.

Boaters are always urged to use caution on area lakes and notify authorities of anything unusual looking.
