Walk MS 2016 Preview
Multiple sclerosis can have devastating effects on a victim’s life.
The illness causes issues with the central nervous system. Symptoms can include but aren’t limited to blindness and paralysis.
For Bemidji woman Ann Hayes, dealing with a condition that will get worse over time has been a challenge. She has primary progressive MS, a type that could eventually leave her completely confined to a chair. She lives in the now and continues hoping for cure.
Walk MS returns to Bemidji on April 30. Event organizers hope to raise at least $30,000 toward helping with research. Some of the money they raise will stay in Bemidji to provide locals who have MS with assistance.
