Wadena Man Sustains Serious Injuries in Single-Vehicle Accident

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash April 20 on County Road 9 near the intersection of 201^st Avenue at approximately 6:45 p.m. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, a single vehicle being driven by Kevin Klawitter, 25, of Wadena, was found to have been involved, according to the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office.

It is believed Klawitter’s vehicle left the roadway and rolled  before coming to a rest in the ditch. Klawitter was transported to Tri-County Health Care and later air lifted by North Memorial Air Care to another medical facility with serious injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Verndale Police Department, Tri-County Ambulance, Sebeka Fire Department, and Jake’s Towing.
