Wadena Bog Walk Dedication

Staples area residents and visitors now have a wonderful new way to observe an intriguing piece of nature. The Old Wadena Society has completed the Bog Walk at Old Wadena County Park north of Staples. The group held a dedication ceremony on Saturday. The walk extends 750 feet, connecting two trails on either side of the wetland. Learning stations line the bog walk to provide an educational experience. The Old Wadena Society, 3-M retirees, local FFA members, Central Lakes College students, and several other volunteers poured about 1,000 man-hours into the project across 6 years.
