Verdict Reached in Jourdain Trail
The jury reached a verdict in a Beltrami County murder trial on Monday afternoon. Brian Jourdain was found guilty of second degree unintentional murder and not guilty of second degree intentional murder. The charges were in connection to the stabbing of 35-year-old Krista Marie Fisherman near a Bemidji mall in February 2015.
County attorney Annie Claesson-Huseby tells Lakeland News she was happy with the verdict, adding that the jury in the trial was attentive throughout. Defense attorney J.D. Schmidt said he’s happy with the result and believes the court got it right. Jourdain will face sentencing on July 18.
