VenuWorks Promotes Mike Cronin to Executive Director of the Sanford Center in Bemidji, MN

BEMIDJI, MINN. – Steve Peters, President of VenuWorks, has announced the promotion of Mike Cronin to Executive Director of the Sanford Center. Cronin is currently the Associate Executive Director of the VenuWorks-managed venue.

“Mike is a twenty year veteran to our industry. He has been an instrumental part of our success in Bemidji, and we are thrilled to promote him to this key position at the Sanford Center,” said Peters.

Prior to his position at the Sanford Center, Cronin held leadership positions in the Technical Departments at the Iowa State Center (Ames, IA) and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center (Atlanta, GA).

“Mike is a major reason why the Sanford Center in Bemidji is so successful. Not only does he know how to pull off major and complex events, Mike has also built solid relationships in the industry, in Bemidji, and with the staff,” said Nate Mathews, City Manager. “I’m looking forward to working with Mike in his new role at the Sanford Center and in the Bemidji community!”

Cronin succeeds current Executive Director Curtis Webb. Webb is relocating to Bloomington, IL to operate the VenuWorks-managed U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Cronin will begin his new position at the Sanford Center on May 1, 2016.
