Vehicle Break-Ins On The Rise In Grand Rapids

Over the past month the Grand Rapids Police Department has seen an increase in vehicle break-ins.

Sgt. Robert Stein told the Grand Rapids Herald Review that there seems to be no pattern to the thefts and that they are not isolated to any specific area or any specific time of day.

Vehicles that are left unlocked are specifically being targeted. The Grand Rapids Police Department reminds everyone to always lock your doors, and take valuables with you or lock them in your vehicles trunk.

It is also recommended to not leave any loose change or any other items of value in sight.

The vehicle break-ins are currently under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Grand Rapids Police Department at (218) 326-3464.
