UPDATE: Authorities Locate Juvenile Who Allegedly Threatened Violence At A Northern Minnesota School

UPDATE: The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agents have identified the juvenile who threatened violence at an unnamed northern Minnesota school through an online chat room. After launching an immediate investigation the BCA has determined that there is no ongoing threat to schools.

Through their investigation the, BCA agents identified a possible IP address of a juvenile male located in Hoyt Lakes in St. Louis County. The Juvenile male admitted to making the threat. Investigators later determined that the juvenile had no access to weapons. The juvenile is not currently in custody. However, the BCA has been communicating with the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office in regards to possible charges. The investigation is ongoing and the juvenile and a parent are cooperating with law enforcement.
