In six years of its “Restaurant Day” program, the United Way of Bemidji averaged over $2,000 raised.

The non-profit is looking for more as it strives toward a goal of $415,000 raised in its fall campaign. All of these funds will go to organizations that will help people in need in the area.

Most restaurants will only offer specials for one or two days in the week, but a few of them are running for the entire week, including the Tea and Gift Shoppe, which will give to the United Way through Saturday.

Twenty eateries are taking part in the 2015 event.
