U.S. Senator Al Franken’s Staff met with Rural Education Leaders in Staples
Meeting with rural educators across the state has put into perspective the challenges rural communities face among ensuring students access to high quality education.
One reoccurring issue schools face in the area seemed to be the lack of teacher applications.
Another challenge was the lack of resources among mental health in schools which has grown in recent years. Part of Senator Al Franken’s ‘Every Student Succeeds Act,’ the education reform plans to partner with community-based organizations to expand access to mental health services for students.
And that their concerns are being heard at the state and national levels.
