Two Popular Resorts Forced To Close Temporary After Sunday’s Storm

Madden’s Resort and Cragun’s Resorthave been a Brainerd Lakes Area and Gull Lake traditions for a century. And now for the first time both are closed to cleanup after Sunday nights storm.

The storm showed off it’s power by twisting trees and ripping off roofs. And both Madden’s and Cragun’s are trying to clean up Mother Nature’s mess without power.

A utility crew working at the East Gull Lake City Hall says they hope to have the lights on by Thursday afternoon and Madden’s Resort says they’re excited to have received about a dozen new power poles.
