Two Hearings Rescheduled Regarding Rose Downwind Case

A new date for the contested omnibus hearing for Brandon Rossbach, 31, has been rescheduled for May 24, according to an article on the Bemijdi Pioneer website. Rossbach has been charged with aiding an offender in relation to the death of Rose Downwind, 31, of Redby, last October. The hearing in May is to determine if there’s enough evidence for probable cause; if there is, the case will move forward; if there is not, the case can be dismissed.

Rossbach was arrested Dec. 9, 2015, on the charge of aiding Marchello Anthony Cimmarusti, 40, of Bemidji. Cimmarusti has been charged with second-degree intentional murder of Downwind and faces a maximum of 40 years in prison.

Cristopher Davis, 27, was also arrested and charged with aiding an offender. A contested omnibus hearing for Davis has been set for April 26.

Both Rossback and Davis face a maximum of 20 years in prison if convicted, according to the article.
