Two Bemidji high school students were killed in a traffic accident on Wednesday evening.

Kiara Renollette and Jacob Bruns were both 16 years old. They were driving on southbound Highway 71, located just outside of Bemidji, when Bruns lost control of the vehicle and collided with a truck.

The Bemidji school district is still shaken by the news. Their officials are giving students, several of whom are siblings of the accident victims, access to grief counselors and social workers during this difficult time.

Please can you do an update to this story, I feel the family deserves that due to someone complaining about the go fund me account now its frozen currently, so the family is unable to get the near 8000 that was raised to date. I among many others feel this is a horrible thing to have happen, going thru the loss of my own child 3 months ago I understand completely how hard it is during this time…
