Touring The Historic Beltrami County Courthouse

Many residents got to travel back in time, just for a day, at the Beltrami County Courthouse Thursday.

County officials and the Beltrami County Historical Society invited the public for a tour around the courthouse, one that hasn’t been done over the decade.

This is in conjunction with a sesquicentennial celebration, that is the 150th anniversary of Beltrami County’s establishment.

The courthouse has since become a place safekeeping memories for many. In 1988, the courthouse was listed in the National Register of Historic Places, much due to the fact that the building’s exterior was kept almost exactly the same way since it was first built in 1902.
