Three Charged With Selling Drugs In Brainerd

Three men have been arrested and charged after selling drugs at a residence in southeast Brainerd.

The Brainerd men—Deionte Jaewon Parker, 19, Hunter Lee Stanton, 19, and Tyler Lee Tipton, 20—appeared Friday in Crow Wing County District Court. The men were charged with two felonies of fifth-degree sale of a marijuana mixture and conspiracy of fifth-degree sale marijuana mixture.

According to court documents, a confidential informant working with the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division made arrangements Aug. 10 with Parker to purchase a quantity of a controlled substance. The informant met with Parker at a residence on 11th Street Southeast in Brainerd. Parker told the informant that Stanton had the marijuana that the informant was attempting to purchase. Stanton and Tipton arrived at the residence and Stanton provided Parker with a quarter ounce of marijuana. Tipton was present during the sale of the marijuana. The informant later told a narcotics investigator that it appeared Tipton and Hunter were selling drugs for Parker as they came to the house at Parker’s request and handed over the drugs without anything given in return.

The controlled substance was later tested positive as marijuana and weighed 9.4 grams, including the packaging. This amount of marijuana has a street value of $30.
