Thief River Falls Boy Dies After Being Hit By Truck

On Monday evening 14-year-old Gannon Allen Hejlik died after being hit by a vehicle in Thief River Falls.

According to the press release from the Thief River Falls Police Department, Hejlik, was riding his bicycle through an intersection when he was fatally struck by a truck driven by 52- year- old Tammy Martha Johnson, of Thief River Falls.

Hejlik was riding his bicycle in the crosswalk on the east side of Oakland Park Road when he was struck by the Johnson’s truck, which was eastbound on Greenwood Street.

Hejlik was taken by Thief River Falls Area Ambulance to Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls. He was later transported to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo where he died from his injuries.
