The Nisswa Chamber Continues their Welcome Wannigan Tradition at this Years Walleye Fishing Opener

It was a chilly weekend on Gull Lake for the Walleye Fishing Opener. But that didn’t stop the Nisswa Chamber of Commerce from welcoming the anglers with their annual Welcome Wannigan.

The Nisswa’s Chamber Welcome Wannigan is a very proud tradition in Nisswa. They have been handing out free coffee and doughnuts to anglers for the Walleye Fishing Opener since 1959.

To make the event a success it takes a team of volunteers.

Although, there were not as many boaters out on the lake this year; they still gave out a lot of doughnuts.
