The radioactive gas radon can be found nearly anywhere because its produced from soil.

Long-term exposure to radon can be deadly. The Crow Wing County Land Services Department is hoping that offering free radon testing kits will prevent more families from getting sick.

Because the gas is not detectable there is only one way to know if your home has high levels of radon.

There are no safe levels for radon. Families are more at risk with higher levels of the gas and increased exposure.
