The Brainerd Jaycees Kick of Their Run For the Lakes Events With a Fun Run

The Brainerd Jaycees Fun Run is a great way for children ages three through eight to participate in their first marathon as well as help raise money for area charities.

The Fun Run consist of running a 1k and to motivate the children to make it to the finish line they have incorporated a fun technique that involves chasing bananas.

And, the whole purpose of the event is just being active and having fun.

Since the Run For the Lakes began nine years ago they have given over sixty thousand dollars back to the community.

After the Fun Run a different group ran the 5 k.
