The Brainerd City Council Awards Bid For Airport Water and Sewer Project

After much deliberation the Brainerd City Council decided to award the upcoming Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport Sewer and water project to a local contractor called Tom Backhoe Services.

The project is divided into four segments. Each council member had their own opinions on how the segments should be completed. Since the project is more expensive than originally predicted the finance department will have to recalculate. Some City Council members are worried about the financial impact completing all four segments will have on the community. They were hoping to start the project in March.
