Texting Program Urges College Attendance

Summer nudging is a program that the Minnesota Office of Higher Education is running for the third year.

The program, which sends students text messages throughout the summer as they prepare to register for college, keeps them on track to get it done quickly. For students who come from low income households or will be the first in their family to get a degree, the assistance can help them through the process.

Speakers came to Red Lake Tribal College on Wednesday to tell juniors and seniors about the program and encourage them to sign up when the time comes to graduate.
