Summer Cheerleading Lessons for Kids

Kids can learn how to cheer this Summer in Bemidji.

The Bemidji Dept. of Parks and Recreation is teaming up with Bemidji State University cheerleaders to teach kids some tips and tricks.

Students will learn popular cheers, chants, jumps, leaps, choreographed pom pom/dance routines, parade marching techniques, and other skills used in performances.

There are two classes: one for kids ages 5-9, and one for kids ages 10-14.

Details:

Date: June 14-August 9, no class on July 5

Time: Ages 5-9 – 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.; Ages 10-14 – 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Location: City Park Multi Use Building

Cost: $80.00/participant

The program aims to promote improved coordination and physical fitness, personal esteem and teamwork.

Each participant will receive a t-shirt, award and poms.

Limited spots available in the 5-9 age group.
