State Patrol Retirees

Three state troopers with nearly 90 years combined service to Minnesota received a retirement celebration today in Baxter. Sgt. Curt Mowers, Sgt. Kevin Strand, and Sgt. Paul Bruggman handed in their badges. Brainerd Mayor James Wallin presented a plaque to Mowers for his service to the lakes area. Mowers co-founded the Crow Wing County Passenger Safety Coalition and instructed School Patrol training at Legionville. Bruggmann will continue making the roads safer in his retirement by coordinating the Toward Zero Deaths movement in Aitkin County.
