South Shore Restoration Project Set To Begin Next Month

The area between the new Double Tree hotel and Country Inn and Suites is going to be busing next month.

A restoration project will be starting on August 15 and has a goal of cleaning out the bottom of the lake, and getting the area in shape to become a desired destination for people and their boats, as well as fish.

Grant money was awarded to the City of Bemidji to help cover the cost of this project, which will be between $1.5 and $1.6 million dollars.
