Shots Fired In Downtown Bemidji Appear To Be Isolated Incident

The Bemidji Police Department has released more information regarding gun shots being fired in Downtown Bemidji. Bemidji Police Officers and Beltrami County deputies responded to the area of 9^th Street Northwest and Minnesota Avenue at exactly 6:50 last night.

Officers located an unoccupied van crashed in the alley between America Avenue and Minnesota Avenue, south of 9^th Street. The vehicle had multiple bullet holes in the exterior driver’s side of the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were located in two nearby residences.

The incident appears to be isolated and there does not appear to be a threat to the general public at the time. The case remains under investigation.
