Shooting Park Progress Continues

The construction of a Bemidji shooting sports park is making progress.

Officials broke ground on the Northland Regional Shooting Sports Park last September. The facility will be located on a 200-acre lot along Highway 89.

Over the weekend, National Rifle Association trainers worked to get locals ready to work as safety officers. These people will supervise events when they are held on the new grounds.

Bemidji High School will host another invitational tournament later in May. This event drew fifteen different high schools to Bemidji last year. With the park expected to open in 2017, they’ll hope to draw an even larger crowd in the future.
