Sensory Components To Be Added To Paul Bunyan Park’s All-Inclusive Playground

A Bemidji area Boy Scout raised money after noticing something missing on the all-inclusive playground at Paul Bunyan Park.

Daniel Roberts met with Bemidji City Council members Monday and donated around $11,000 to the city, which will go towards expanding the inclusive park to add an element of sound. Bemidji City Manager Nate Mathews said they’re going to purchase the equipment and work with Roberts to expand the park.

“He researched various additions that we could add to the park that would include sounds. So there’s xylophone, there’s other sensory components to the playground that he identified that he could help us add to it,” Nate Mathews said.
