Sanford, Bemidji Rotary Offer Blood Screening Opportunity

Two organizations have combined to again offer Bemidji residents a cheap blood screening option.

It’s for a good cause. When the program began its pilot year in 2015, about $4,500 was raised. Some of that money stayed with the Bemidji Rotary Club, but the rest of it went toward the Paul Bunyan Inclusive Playground project in Bemidji.

Blood screenings are a good way for people to check up on their physical health. Anything from diabetes to a cholesterol check could make getting these tests beneficial.

Two more screening days remain; blood samples can be collected from 7 to 10 a.m. and through April 13 in the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center’s east lobby.
